The Aim of the Department
The Business Administration department aims to develop potential managers with substantive decision-making skills for an appreciation of the economic, regulatory and social environments in which businesses operate in. The curriculum is designed to ensure that students have a broad understanding of the major functional areas of business including strategic management, marketing, qualitative method applications, finance and accounting and sufficient knowledge of economics to understand the implications of economic news and events for their organization. The program also provides students with the necessary skills for effective decision-making such as statistics, operations management and computer information systems.
About the Department
The Business Department consists of 18 full-time academic staff, of whom 5 are Prof, 2 Associated Prof., 5 are assistant Prof, 3 are Doctors, 3 research assistants and 3 are lecturers are continuing education for master or and PhD degrees.
There are both normal and secondary (evening) undergraduate programs of education in the Business Administration department. Since 2003, a one year English Preparatory School has been a requirement for normal program students. As of Fall Semester 2015-2016 a total of 1090 students are enrolled to these programs.
The Department of Business Administration has been offered a MBA program since 2000. In addition, the Ph.D. program has been carried out since 2006.
